San Antonio's five historic missions are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They provide amazing insight into the region’s history and cultural significance.

Families can opt for a self-guided tour or join a ranger-led program to understand the missions' important roles over the centuries. Mission San José, celebrated for its stunning architecture, features a visitor center and beautiful grounds, making it perfect for family picnics. The Pearl's Farmer's Market

Looking for a cool place to grab goodies from local farmers and makers, while having access to local brick-and-mortar shops and eateries? Look no further than The Pearl's Farmer's Market and Maker's Market! Farmers' Markets are easily my favorite part of summer. I love taking my kiddos to look around and explore, while supporting local businesses! The Pearl is even better during the summer, offering a splash pad for the littles to cool down after a morning of shopping. The Farmer's Market is held on Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm, and the Maker's Market is held on Sundays from 10 am-2 pm, leaving you plenty of time to check out all the vendors and even time to stop by the Twig Bookshop for some new books for the kiddos!
